I do have the update notification from Microsoft activated as an alert when an update is available. BUT, as a precaution, after receiving the alert I go directly to the Microsoft web site from my update button in the start menu to review and download. Takes a few extra minutes, but I prefer to play it safe what with all the junk out there.

It turns out, it wasn't Microsoft..Whoever it was, they should be put out of business..it is worse than a virus..
