First, it has been a crime to destroy (or convert to one's own use) personal property of another for a thousand years. Certainly. And yet, we permit government to do so through the invention of newfangled legal theories like that which Quattrone was hit with. The government is declaring, effectively, a right to access a private firm's emails through an "obstruction" charge. What you should find troubling is that this is a Government action, not a private one. Did you not read my post? LPS5
