There are thousands of guilty parties in the abuse of those prisoners.

There are the torturers themselves, and their commanders, of course.

But more importantly there are the people who, in the buildup to the war and afterwards, demonized the Iraqis and convinced a good part of the American public and our soldiers that the Iraqis were terrorists and responsible for the attacks of 9/11. The people who try to convince a gullible public that the invasion and occupation of Iraq is party of the mythical "war on terror."

Many of them pretend revulsion at the natural consequence of their duplicity, but in their hearts they are sqarely in Rush Limbaugh's corner.
