I don't want Saddam back in power in Iraq, I want us the hell out of Iraq.

Surprisingly, I don't disagree with you.

But rather than leaving it in a state of civil war that will make the breakup of Yugoslavia look like a birthday party (given how many new countries were born out of that particular breakup).

And while Yugoslavia was relatively poor in natural resources, Iraq is a literal gold mine for many nations in the region desiring to control the second largest oil reserves in the world.

And you might want ask yourself this question.. Will any of Iraq's neighbors permit the country to collapse into civil war?

Are you willing to withdraw US troops only to unleash the possibility of neighboring states partitioning Iraq into zones of occupation, much as they did with post-war Germany?

How will you prevent such "outside interference" that results in a division of the Iraq state along the lines of "blood and soil"?

Have you REALLY thought out the repercussions of a sudden US pullout, and the likelihood that it will WORSEN, not benefit, the situation for the average Iraqi??

Will you come out here and stand in support of the "bloodbath" that your positions helps to create?

I am in favor of every nation being free from the fear of unprovoked invasion and occupation, and being free to determine its own fate without outside interference.

Funny.... so am I, especially with regard to being able to determine its own fate.

But I don't happen to see any of the countries within the region that possess such a political system that permits something like that from occurring.

Can you name any democracies that currently are worth supporting in the Arab world?
