1) Evil people have hijacked religion now and in the past, in the name of earthly gains. That does not reflect on the religion itself.
When the religion has authorities who superintend it and who help the faithful police it, as is the case with Christianity, then "hijacking" becomes self-evident when it occurs. On the other hand, when the religion is islam, with leaders whose views are as valid as any other leader, you or no one else is in position to claim anything has been hijacked. Your views here are no more grounded in ultimate fact then Osama's or any other muslim's.
I've made the point that the Crusades were a Christian call against the Muslims, which nearly all scholars (even Christian historians) accept. You reject that...

2) Bin Laden is the latest to attempt to hijack a religion for his own evil purposes.
You are no Ragheaded Pope, sir. Bin laden is supported my many muslims and has the authority to command their allegiance. He defines islam, many people agree with him, his alleged opponents fail to counter him. Other muslim leaders are as hostile to freedom as he, with Afghanistan once brimming with them. These people literally shot women in their heads, in broad view, inside a stadium filled with cheering muslim savages. So you have no authority to tell anyone who has hijacked what. You ain' got squat.
Many have come to his side, but it is an incredibly small percentage of the worldwide Muslim population.
When he is out doing the murdering and a world of muslims refuses to cast him out of it, allowing him to exist within it for years, when a world of muslims accepts slaughter of people for no good reason, its leaders encouraging muslims to murder authors, hacking and savagely killing people in the streets, this, without other muslims waging a substantive counter-assault on this heathen barbarism, then the alleged silent muslim majority you mention here means absolutely squat, and is very likely a figment of your teeny tiny brain.
Subsequently, many have become opposed to our invasion of Iraq, which you mistake for support for bin Laden's original attack.

Many of the savages who blow themselves up in Iraq are of the same savage sort that blew themselves up in NY, in Washington, in Spain, in Bali, in France, in Israel, in... (fill in the friggin' blank). They are they same sort who blew up the U.S.S. Cole, before 911. So it is no surprise to me that they are now blowing themselves up in Iraq. They are muslims, and that is what they have always done, rather than negotiate as civilized people negotiate.
This view, that bin Laden is operating outside the laws of Islam, is shared by many Muslims, Christians, and even Bush and his administration.
Bush has slaughtered more muslims in the last month than I thought he would for the entire Iraqi campaign. So I find it humorous that you cite him as an authority on islamic "peacefulness." As for the muslims who claim bin laden is wrong, they have no authority to make the claim. Bib laden points to the Quran where it clearly establishes his duty to act as he does. No one is in position to declare him "non-islamic" because of his (and millions of other muslims') views. That is why no substantive counter-definition exists against him and his followers.
You, however, seem to know better. Again, ignore the reality.
3000 innocents, murdered by islam in NY, thousands more murdered by muslims everywhere, upwards of 100,000 muslims prowling the earth, seeking whom they may next destroy, millions of muslims cheering and sustaining them, likely millions more being pleased when they succeed in murder, and you talk of "reality." You numbskulls need to easy up off the sauce.

You don't just watch someone take out 3000 innocent people and billions of dollars in assets in a matter of minutes and then think you can co-exist in any way with the perpetrators or those sympathetic to them. If muslims are prone to going around the world to intentionally murder people, then they were savages to begin with, regardless of Bush's actions. None of this is Bush's fault because there is no excuse for people intentionally blowing up innocent people. The world is less safe because of muslim savages, not because of Bush.

Were it not murderous, I'd have little issue with it, just as I have little issue with Hinduism or any other kind of heathen religion.
