W's propagandists have been pushing the "future's so bright" line for quite some time, and fairandbalanced Fox News & Co. have been eating it up. It's just not fair than any other side of the story show up on the news.

Given the rather substantial discontinuity between the pre-war case for the war and the postwar evidentiary situation, I think it's more than reasonable that conventional media not of the fairandbalanced persuasion show some skepticism toward whatever line W's handlers are pushing today.

There are plenty of positive things occurring out there in Iraq, as well as the mid-east (Libya's caving in to renouncing terrorism), but they are just not being actively discussed in a manner that the American people will listen to...

History is supposed to be written by the victorious side, but no need to worry - even if the US strategy in Iraq will in the end prove to be an overwhelming success, still, FADG - and the media - will never run out of critics... The show(s) will go on, that's for sure... -g.
