This was another diplomatic failure by the Bush Administration. They failed to get permission from Turkey to invade from the North.

Of course they didn't take out Zarqawi... they were too busy securing the oilfields. Zarqawi might well have escaped while the libraries and hospitals were being looted.

What difference do those paragraphs make? We could've gone after Zarqawi, the Pentagon wanted to, but the Bush whitehouse shut them down as they thought it would be counterproductive to the case they were making for invading Iraq.

Bush played politics, put Iraq above the war against terror and America is worse off because of it.
