And just maybe Eisner did bend quite a little because of the political consequences...in which case Moore was absolutely entitled to a little sanctimony as well as a healthy controversy. Moore initially said that the story took a year to come to the boil. So I'm still waiting for the proof and the quote of the blatant "lie" you all think is so self evident...On the Moore side, and not on a Disney blog.. I find little mention of any direct White house plot among Moore's press release concerning this distribution problem. If you can't catch the spreading chill towards artistic expression especially when repudiating the chicken hawk brand of patriotism, well you will just have to wait twenty years for the retrospective. It will then be made perfectly clear in the catalogue essay.
