John, Only 17 out of more than 4000 Japanese soldiers survived Tarawa. They would not surrender. Eventually Japan stopped fighting faced with annihilation. What should we do and when do the terrorists stop fighting? I do not think retreating to our borders is a solution nor is submitting to all of their demands. Clinton tried to give Arafat almost everything he wanted but Arafat didn't want peace. He wants the destruction of Israel. The terrorists or Islamic extremists do not want peace. They want the destruction of America. We can do it now or we can do it later. And I promise you the UN is not going to help us.
