The American people are for the most part clueless. Viet Nam demonstrated that. It took years and years for Americans to wake up to the misguided policy in Viet Nam. It's taking years for them to realize that they have been lied to and deceived about 9/11 and Iraq. It is good to see from those graphs that people are starting to become more cynical. I'm not a fan of cynicism, but how can you not be cynical with the crowd in the White House today? I can't believe anything coming out of Washington these days.

Wouldn't it be amazing if we had an adminstration that promised to our tendancy to be so involved in world military affairs, reduce defense spending, reduce the deficit and start focusing on domestic priorities. Then actually followed through on those promises. Amazing how much money the U.S. government pisses down the rathole known as the Defense Department. That money could be put to much better uses building a better America. Not in my lifetime. Amazing how there's always a military emergency that requires our money. Amazing how little has changed during my lifetime.
