It may be comforting, or in your case, comforting to the point of jocularity, to think that these prisoners were "dehumanized" in order to get crucial, top secret information about the precise location and timing of the next suicide bombing. But you are just speculating, guessing, hoping, and so on.

In fact, you have no idea if any information was obtained from them. If valuable information has been obtained, maybe somebody should tell us that the methods used were successful and warranted? Have you heard this?

But let's just assume that some information was helpful. What is the acceptable cost? 20 tortures + 2 "accidental" loss of Iraqi life + photos = 1 thwarted attack? Since the Iraqi's asked for this war, shouldn't we lean it a little further in our favor, like 100 Iraqi tortures = 1 US minor injury or 2 British flesh wounds? That seems just. They are the enemy, we must win. This war is a just war. It is a war of freedom. It is the war on terror.

Did I mention I wasn't going to put up another political post. F*ck that.
