Yes fire everyone who did not do their job.

The way I see it there is no more important function than gathering intelligence from detainees. Properly done it can save lives. Therefore managing detainees is a top priority.

Either the prisoners were being managed according to the whims of the jailers or they were operating under orders. Those orders should have been coming from the Pentagon. If they were coming from the pentagon then Rumsfeld needs to be fired. If they were not coming from the pentagon then Rumsfeld should be fired as well.

The management of detainees and the gathering of intelligence is a very important function. Direction should have been coming from the top.

So either way...Rumsfeld was not doing his job.
