I think you misunderstood or I don't understand your question.

The isolationists in America want to abandon the middle east and secure our borders. It's clear they want the US to abandon our support of Israel. I'm sure Israel would not lose the resulting war. They may sanitize the area at 20,000 degrees, but at least there would not be another Masada.

The terrorists are willing to die to kill Americans. If Americans are unwilling to die to stop them, then we are doomed. Rush is right on one point, there has never been a negotiated piece that has lasted. There is only peace after a victory by one side. Trying to understand why the terrorists hate us leads to trying to "fix" why they hate us thinking that would stop the killing. I'm unwilling to try to be nice to the terrorists to see if they will not kill me. After all, what did Nicholas Berg do? He was trying to help Iraqis. What did Daniel Pearl do? He was a reporter. Chamberlain is the example of what happens when you negotiate with cockroaches.
