An interesting email I received from a friend who is retired Green Beret. Food for thought: Bush and Rumsfeld are throwing those American soldiers to the dogs. Obviously the Abu Ghraib technique was a sanctioned, and probably very successful method of getting information from stubborn prisoners. Consider: These radical muslims are the most heavy-duty male chauvinists in the world. They cover their women up, don't let them work outside the home, and dominate in practically all ways. So let's say you have a group of these @ssholes in prison and they are not cooperating. Torture is not allowed. So you then do the most likely thing to get results: you embarrass them sexually. Take pictures of them naked with a woman making fun of them. Then you show those pictures to guys who are on deck to be interrogated! I'll bet it worked very well, and that's why they did it and took pictures. But will anybody in the White House or the Pentagon speak up and explain what they were doing? I doubt it. And the court martials will begin shortly.
