2010? I saw a local news story a couple of weeks ago about a town in my state, population of 45,000-50,000, and it was down to one obstetrician. (and he was old enough to retire) I think there were a couple of additional gynecologist in town but they had stopped practicing obstetrics.

But that will be a good thing. Without OB's, the costs of delivering a child will be much lower and more affordable for everybody. Then, if we could only get rid of hospitals and midwives, the cost would be -- FREE!
