The bullish forecast for WCDMA this morning from QCOM sure looks like a nice buy signal for SNDK. Would you agree the WCDMA handsets are being designed with flash slots to a greater degree than CDMA2000?

That is definitely how I see the market. Just about every W-CDMA handset on the market this year will have some sort of flash memory slot while the CDMA2000 side has trended more towards internal memory (with the exception of handsets for KDDI).

I'm hoping that this will change with the MSM6100/6500 based handsets but I havent seen enough prototypes yet to tell which way the market is going to go.

I am fairly sure that flash slots are going to be pretty widespread going forward...the wild card for Sandisk is the amount of memory customers are going to want. I've seen signs of demand on message boards but sometimes those people are so cutting edge that it's not a real indicator. Any thoughts on how this is going to play out? If MP3 players/video become popular, Sandisk is a no-brainer at this price.

BTW, I still think that the W-CDMA handset forecast is low :-).
