Check out the blurb in the accompanying story: “Clowns are sad, but they’re also psychotically, hysterically happy,” said the photographer in an interview in Tate Magazine. “ I like that balance—that you could look like you’re happy and still look like you’re sad underneath.” There's some sad things known to man...but none too much sadder than....the tears of a clown!
