objects detected, but not seen visually, on the flight instrumentation. The movements and characteristics of the detected objects are said most unusual.

The object has a flat profile.
One way of hiding from radar is to reflect it efficiently.
Think of a flashlight and a mirror.
It's very bright if the light reflects to your eyes, but much less so if the light reflects to somewhere else. (Even more dramatic with a lazer pointer)

small changes in the position of the mirror make for sudden and quick changes in where the reflected energy goes. These appear as impossibly fast turns and speed changes on the detector.

The Mexicans saw some stealthy aircraft, possibly on reconasance to Columbia, or possibly in transit to the middle east.
