If I said suggested that oil leads to Islamism, that would be foolish, indeed. My suggestion is that excluding Muslims and/or Arabs would be economic suicide.

Norway is a big exporter of oil and gas, but it's nowhere to be found on BP's list of the world's proven oil reserves.

Saudi Arabia - 25 percent - Muslim Arabs
Iraq - 10.7 percent - Muslim Arabs, mostly (also Kurds)
United Arab Emirates - 9.3 percent - Muslim Arabs
Kuwait - 9.2 percent - Muslim Arabs
Iran - 8.6 percent - Muslim Arabs
Venezuela - 7.4 percent - not Muslim, not friendly to US
Russia - 5.7 percent - Russia per se isn't Muslim, nor Arab
United States - 2.9 percent - that's us
Libya - 2.8 percent - Muslim Arabs
Nigeria - 2.3 percent - partly Muslim, not Arab
