Generally a tape meant to inspire terror in the enemy would be as clear and explicit as possible.

This one was grainy and full of indications of editing.

A tape made by Ahmed Chalabi's organization (who had arrested Berg and has been running a death squad) and meant to cast a bad light on Zukari, would be of poor quality so as to make it difficult to analyse.

Something sounds like a duck, it's not yet clear if it looks like a duck too.

The worst possible thought for me. He was set up.

That certainly is the worst possible thought. Though I don't believe [or refuse to believe] that happened. But it isn't out of the realm of reasonably possible that one or more of the Iraqi police might be involved. It's reasonable to believe that during the interviews with the FBI Berg mentioned that he was Jewish and one of the Iraqis let it be known to someone on the outside that he was Jewish and when he was released.
