Where was CNN in Rwanda? Imagine the kind of media attention that would have been generated if 500,000 white folks were hacked to death

They were late to the party, we only got pictures of the dead. Picture-driven policies favor slower disasters, like famine, where the cameramen can a) get there b) won't be hacked to death for their trouble

Edit: I don't think race matters as much as the pictures. Americans were not clamoring to go into Yugoslavia for a long while even though over 200,000 died. But the pictures of the fleeing Kosovars were too much.
