By the way, do you happen to know any biographical detail on Samir Amin, the author the well-written Al-Ahram Weekly essay on America's real agenda? He seems to see the situation quite clearly. His writing reminds me of that of "Spengler" at that Asia Times, another erudite author I greatly admire.
