Take it a step further. I think we should sue you for not doing better in high school, attending college on a pre-med track and going to med school and ultimately specializing in OB-GYN. The summons and complaint will be served shortly

When their babies aren't perfect in every way, they will sue the U.S. Government, McDonald's, Halliburton, Merck, Exxon, Microsoft, and Altria. And they will win, because the defendants have lots of money, and neither liability nor actual damages need to be proven in today's courtrooms in order to prevail. As to making up for the lack of OB's, the government will have to conscript people to become doctors, abilities and desires notwithstanding. In fact, the less ability and desire they have, the better it will be, because they can be selected based on important things -- the social criteria the conscriptors consider to be of paramount importance -- ethnicity, gender (before and after), sexual preference, political orientation, pro-choice orientation, etc. Their inability to read will be a plus, because they can be shown to have overcome the hinderance of a disadvantaged upbringing. Then, rather than sue doctors for not becoming OB's, the plaintiff's bar can devote its talents to suing ALL doctors for having the avarice to charge for their services at all. After all, unlimited, free health care should be available to everybody, and the lawyers should become rich by making it happen. How's that for a class action? The patients are running the asylum.
