<<and then to Iraqis as the "bad guys" we created.>>

We didn't create the Iranian and Syrian terrorists pouring over the border.

He referred to Al Quida as the "bad guy" and then to

Iraqis as the "bad guys" we created.

C'mon.

C'mon what? Would it have been better if he said insurgents.......that's the term the gov't and press use? Insurgents are not the same as terrorists. That's why they are called insurgents.

If he doesn't mean we were creating terrorists
by our actions in Iraq, what exactly did
he mean?

He means creating insurgents, bad guys, not terrorists. If you were a regular on the thread, you would know the difference. Actually, you should the difference in any case.

By definition[Websters]:

insurgent: a person who rebels against civil authority;

terrorist: a member of a group who inspires fear through violent actions.

Therefore, US civil authority in Iraq has created insurgents.....they are rebelling against US civil authority. I agree completely with that statement. I do not agree with the statement that US policy has created terrorists in the world.

Sorry if you think that's splitting hairs but I don't.....and on my thread, we understand when we talk about insurgents vs terrorists.

At minimum, my interpretation was certainly reasonable,
and gave you no cause to start accusing me of lying.

There is nothing reasonable about this war but I would suggest if you plan to trash someone at least get your facts straight. Precision should be mandatory in this kind of communication, not a luxury.

Get a life, Ted.

Now what the hell does that have to do with anything?
