Dennis is much more entertaining, but Friedman has more prestige. Hard to assess.

Friedman has made a couple of good points in this piece. One is the failure of the Admin. to engage in a particularly American gesture, such as razing Abu Ghraib and replacing it with an educational facility.

We can do something like that and we should. Corporations such as Dell, HP, and Microsoft should be asked to participate. Citizens should be asked to contribute a buck or five to the effort. The dollars raised would be immense. An educational facility to rival any in the world could be built.

Why not?
