Liberal ideas are mostly out-dated as the term itself is. I often debate with liberals over a whole variety off issues, from social spending to toughness on defense.
These days most Democrats are hybrids, as are many other people. Fairly liberal on social issues and more conservative on fiscal issues. Average my views out and they're centrist, very slightly to the left of center. That said, I embrace those moderate conservatives who are just to the right of center. The real troublemakers are the ones on the far right who have hijacked the GOP and this whole country. They were very skillful (and dishonest) in how they did it but now we all need to sweept them out of power for the good of our country and the world. They are definitely taking us down the wrogn path if we ever hope to have peace and prosperity again.

In the first breadth she will tell she is not liberal and the term is no longer valid (progressives, don't you know).

In the second breadth she will tell that "the Bushies" are horrible and Kerry is wonderful. Of course, her kerry-boy never, ever voted for any liberal issues. Not ever.

I know it is a thankless job, but sometimes we need to send a post illustrating her deficient thinking. Even if it is just for fun. <g>
