Kennedy will soon retire. He is not angling for anything except to rid this country of Cheney-Bush. Kennedy was not going to play a major role in the campaign but when Howard Dean threatened to grab the nomination, the old liberal came out of his den to campaign for Kerry. for whatever reason, it worked.

Kennedy has come out like an old lion and his roar is surprisingly potent. Rightwingers love to hate him but he nailed them right on the head by being amongst the first to state that the entire Iraq War was a plot hatched in Texas (for the oil) and has little to do with the war on terror.

Remember in 2001, Bush used Kennedy to pass his No Child Left Behind. They were working well together it seemed, but then Bush stabbed Kennedy in the back by refusing to fund the very policies he put forth. Ever since then Kennedy has been mad as hell and Bush made a potent enemy of him.

BTW: Kennedy is also a major advisor to Arnold Schwartzeneggar.

The only cap Kennedy is remotely capable of is a nightcap, notwithstanding the Kennedy family propaganda machine.
