Kerry said at a stump speech that he voted for the bill with the amendment, and then voted against it without the amendment.

You are hung up on his phrasing. I understood what he meant. I am sure you do too.

Pat Buchanon now says war in Iraq has failed and that the election is Kerry's the taking. He advises Kerry (sincerely or not) to wait until September to make his real case to the American people about being the honest, dependable strong common sense alternative to a failed president no one can trust anymore. Buchanon adds that many moderate and conservative Republicans will not vote for Bush anymore.
