Hope and freedom are always victorious! The usual criticism against war on terror is that it has handled badly, now we don’t really know if a passive appeasing response would have done any good. The terror cells were embedded subterranean in the fringe societies like Saudi, Pakistan border areas and Afghanistan. The nations who had so far until 9/11dilly dallied on cooperation towards elimination of terror joined hand whole heartedly. Secondly, it was the intensity of event and magnitude of loss of human life that helped policy pundits to change their line of action towards these sleeping cells of terrorists. Between 1990 and 2000 world witnessed with utter negligence the terror events unfolding in Middle East led by AlQaeda, Taliban reincarnated the medieval empire where human rights abuse became a norm under Saudi Wahabi tutelage and support of Pakistan. The decade of 1990-2000 was a decade of missed opportunities when Osama bin Laden created this network of global terror Inc under the watchful eyes of western civilised society. The liberal agenda that calls for respect of rights of terrorists who can maim and kill without impunity had really fetter the policy alternatives, few bombs here few smart bombs there use to be the response of civilised societies on massive terrorists body blows.
