Where are the Torture Tapes?

Roger L Simon blog

No, not those torture tapes, the yet more hideous tapes made by Saddam and his cohorts, which are said to contain acitivities that would make the guards in Abu Ghraib (and possibly even Zarqawi) blush. Michael Ledeen, who is visiting me in Los Angeles, has convinced me that such things exist and are in Administration hands. But why have they not yet been released to the press? Is the Administration afraid of being accused of playing tit-for-tat with the repellent and hugely embarrassing Abu Ghraib photographs?

I wonder if our media has the cojones to demand to see them. I rather doubt it, considering the narrative they seem to be emphasizing. Perhaps my fellow bloggers should get involved. Transparency is our watchword. Let's get it all out on the table. It's the least we owe to Nick Berg.

I found that piece thoughtful and interesting.

I am following three education blogs. They are all well written, and cover the subject much better than any other source I have found.

I have a total of about 120 blogs on RSS feed now that I scan daily. I add and drop as I get an idea of quality. It is fascinating to watch good writers appear and make themselves known. Most bloggers trying to go "big time" in the blog world don't have the staying power for the daily grind. They get linked for a good column a couple of times a month. The ones that can produce good copy daily are rapidly becoming stars.

Glenn Reynolds and Andrew Sullivan are the best known of these, along with Den Beste. You can tell the others by watching the credits on my posts of them. Belmont Shore and Captain Ed stand out, and Cori over at Ranting Profs is just outstanding.
