tonto, let me try another way to get through to you. US needs to stop the atrocities in Iraq first. Those atrocities perpetrated by the US is not on AQ but on innocent citizens. You cannot tell me that we look the other way on the atrocities and justify doing so because of the beheading. These two are not connected. If AQ has beheaded Mr. Berg. then go after the AQ not after the innocent Iraqis. Leave Iraq alone. Go after the AQ in the mountains of Afghanistan. Put troops there. Ask for more funding for military operations for Afghanistan. Not Iraq. Who has given Bush the mission to establish democracy in Iraq. You cannot force democracy down the throats of the Iraqis. They have to yearn for democracy and once they do they will fight to defend it on their own. They do not need US help. Take a cue from what is happening in India, a third world country with millions of poor and illeterate. They know what is democracy, they fought for democracy, they are making democracy work for them. Have you cared to keep in touch with world events and tried to understand the world from the perspective of other nations? It is time you conservative right start to do.
