Well, it could matter if he was using minor injuries to escape his tour of duty. But honestly it doesn't really matter to me. He served and thats good enough for me. I'm not sure he was a hero and thats where I think he loses style points. While he's not openly saying he's a hero his supporters are tossing the word around quite frequently. IMHO the word gets over used and loses its effectiveness in the very same way that calling someone a racist has begun to lose its sting.

I don't know a damn thing about Cleland so I'm in no position to agree or dispute what others are saying.
