During three decades of working as a (product and systems) design engineer and engineering manager for communications companies,

What is your sense of the future of this business. Done for 20 years or any potential for growth? You don't seem to be investing in much on the long side.

Ron, We should agree to disagree and move on.

The only point I was making is that Cisco has at its disposal more than enough cellulose to beat estimates by $0.01 and that we should only be surprised if it fails to do so.

Just because I point to a toolbox and say "look, there's a phillips screwdriver and here is how it works" doesn't mean that a mechanic always uses the the screwdriver on every job. Or that every screw has a Phillips head.

It's just possible that some do. And it's also possible that someone faced with a phillips screw between them and their objectives might just pull out such a screwdriver and remove it.
