True... I don't pretend to know he proper names of things but my point is startups do give ownership rather than options. As far as I can tell, options are designed to scam wealth from shareholders. As I have learned more, it seems restricted stock is the way to go if they really wanted to encourage folks to work harder than they can afford to pay them for. To continue to screw the shareholders with options is only done because they can get away with it. I think WEB is behind the expensing of options not because BS is the right way to do it but because he wants to compete with companies that give away shareholder wealth with options and he is too smart to give away HIS wealth... since he is a major shareholder in his company. Gates too.
