The truth is that I'm not trying to find reasons, I'm looking at the realities, listening to the various viewpoints and using my life experiences to project outcomes.

Well, my goodness... I can only imagine how many noble social causes you must have given up on in your life, simply because you either made a mistake in execution, or you found that they weren't easy to resolve..

I can only imagine how many crack babies and abused children would have proliferated in our cities and town, all because some social worker held your view of "the realities", and given up on them..

How many more neighborhoods would still be in the grip of economic poverty and utter despair because someone accepted their "reality" and decided it wasn't worth risking life or limb to clean up, and deal with criminl gangs and drug dealers.. (certainly from the perspective of the police).

Yeah... there are all kinds of nasty "realities" we can CHOOSE TO ACCEPT cnyndwllr. Just build a global ghetto equivalent and keeped them nasty people trapped in there *(if you can)..

Is that what your version of reality is CD??

Just permit the Middle East to turn into some socio-religious equivalent of Jurassic Park and hope those evil creatures we've permitted to thrive don't escape and attack us?

In ANY EVENT, Iraq will likely become at best, a theologically ruled country, a haven for terrorists, and a lasting reminder that America cannot use it's force to change the world; notice the "ands." A corollary is that every one of the failings of that dysfunctional country will be laid at the doorsteps of America and our level of respect and prestige in the world has been severely impaired.

Why is it that the militants seem to be able TO USE THEIR FORCE TO CHANGE THE WORLD but not the US or the rest of the modern world??

What is the "reality" that the militants see in the Mid-East that we seem to be ignoring?

Can you accept the same "reality" in the US should we see certain Christian militant groups grow in support here in the US??

I'm starting to believe that it might be that you are of the belief that that Arab children are not worth the shedding of American blood.

That's the reality that I see..
