FTR, I don't think I've heard a single person mention the possibility of an inventory write off. Everyone I've spoken with, even the most ardent Intel bear, buys management's logic that the mpu inventories are a result of better than expected yield.

Analysts are looking to get a handle on where inventories are going to be at the end of the quarter, they aren't questioning the quality of the inventory.

Firm denied it was a "heat" problem. They said, if I interpret correctly that it is a wattage problem and that the desktop was not destined to be used for that...

The SEMI Book-to-bill ratio for April comes out Monday (after the close, I believe).

Anyone heard any previews or guestimates from analysts?
