<<What matters is Bush lied about going AWOL in 1972,>>

I've heard two sides to that issue. One said AWOL and the other did not. Besides, just a few posts ago you felt going back 35 years was a waste. Now its a must! I guess only manslaughter and cross burning are excluded from the look back period eh?

<<Let's get back onto real issues here. Nobody cares about Kennedy 35 years ago or Byrd 55 years ago. We all make mistakes as young men we later regret. Any man who says he has never made youthful mistakes is a liar.>>

Technically (Rummy's pentagon lawyers told him so) Bush doesn't consider it AWOL when he was mearly too drunk and coked out to fly a plane.

Had that not been the case he would of gladly shown up for duty. <g>

Kerry did not report for duty this week and he hurt many people because of it. As you say, forget about the old stuff, let's just focus on what is current. Kerry let all teh unemployed down this past week when he refused to take time out for himself to do what he is paid to do, vote and work as a Senator...again.

What matters is Bush lied about going AWOL in 1972, never reported for duty
