I don't think there is much a person can do when we are dealing with the American version of the King of Democrats.

I am embarrassed for America as a result of some of the things he says and does, but I get over that rather quickly when I think about all of the wonderful Americans fighting to protect this nation....including some great Senators.....that overshadow a little man like him.

I wonder if there has been anything posted here about Christopher Dodd lately? Did you hear he's running for re-election? Lots of gushing going on for him the State Democratic convention the other day.

I guess one mans hypocrite is another mans hero?

Christopher Dodd running for re-election

(Hartford-AP) -- Senator Christopher Dodd easily won the backing of state Democrats today for a record fifth term and a wealthy Darien businessman has won the Republican nomination.

Dodd was nominated by a unanimous voice vote during the state Democratic Convention held this morning at the CT Expo Center in Hartford. His Republican opponent Jack Orchulli, a political newcomer says he plans to spend nearly one-(M)-million-dollars of his own money to unseat Dodd.

Orchulli says Dodd has spent too much time in Washington and is out of touch with issues facing everyday people.

Dodd has been eyeing leadership posts in the Senate, and last year formed a political action committee to raise money for other Democrats and to help raise his profile in the Senate.

By the end of March he raised nearly six-(M)-million for re-election bid.
