Buddy, It has long been supposed that Republicans are better for the economy than Democrats, but it simply isn't true historically. Democrats are MUCH better for the economy. Ditto for the stock market. It is also supposed that govt. deficits expand under Democrats and shrink under Republicans, but that hasn't been true since Reagan. It has been supposed that Republicans are stronger on defense, but in the last century we had 4 major wars, two won by Democratic administrations and two lost or, at best, tied, by Republican administrations. It would be funny if Republicans are actually better for racial equality (Little Rock was under Ike) and welfare. <G>
