I agree....the question should have read "the amount of this metal mined throughout history would fit into a cube 63 feet on each side". Although the amount currently brought to the surface in recognizable form might well fit into the 50 foot cube....still, I'd like to make room in my basement for 125,000 cubic feet of gold, some day.

Also note: The total current VALUE of all gold ever mined is only worth $612,000,000,000 clownbux....right around the projected US fiscal defecit for this year alone!<NFG> Mind boggling! The US destroys wealth in one year equivalent to the labors of all of mankind up to present viz-a-viz gold!

OK, but we are talking cubes here. Exactly how many feet do we need to add to go from 51,000 tons to 125,000 tons. Not many I think.
