From the peak in semi-equip prices from 1/16/04 until last Friday's close is a period of 17 weeks, or essentially 1/3rd of a year. The table below shows actual performance over that period , and also, it shows the difference in target means over that same period as documented by First Call. For the actual prices, the Group, SOX, and NASDAQ are down -31, -19, and -11 percent respectively. While the Group price is down -31 percent, the target mean price is up 4 percent.
