Tom, I am proud to state that I was born and raised in India and am also proud to be a US citizen by choice. The Indian President is a Muslim and is the father of the Indian nuclear bomb. In spite of a hostile neighbor, the Muslim country of Pakistan, the Indians very willingly elected a Muslim as their President. The Prime Minister elect is a lady. She was born and raised of Italian parentage and also raised a Catholic. The predominant Hindu population of India, cast aside all their prejudices of sex, religion etc. and heartily chose Mrs. Sonia Gandhi as their next Prime Minister. I think it is time that a advanced country such as the US take their cue from their under fed, illiterate counterparts in India. These Indians may not be in a position to recognize the letters of the alphabet because they are illiterate for the most part. But one thing they sure understand: the value of liberty, the desire to be free.
