Again: Newsweek Poll: Bush approval 42%, disapproval 52%

That is awesome. Unless something drastic happens, it looks like curtains for Bushies. No doubt they will try to engineer something drastic of course. When it happens, take it with a big grain of salt.

The Indian phenomenon is going to have its repurcussions in the US with regards to outsourcing, IMO. The outsourcing was creating a "islands of wealth" effect. The villages, where 90% of the population resides was being neglected. The outgoing Govt. was courting US businesses to take jobs to India and they neglected social welfare programs for the poor. And the rest is history.

On the issue of polls, the pollsters were way off. They had predicted a landslide for the outgoing party. They did so based on the assumption that the poor will not come out to vote and that the voters would mainly consist of those who were the beneficiaries of the US outsourcing wealth. That assumption was wrong and the poor in the villages did come out to vote.

I am anticipating a similar thing to occur here. There has been too much of news on war, violence killing, torture etc. to the point that people are saying "enough is enough". The economic front also has been very dismal.
