Brian - Yes, you are right, I was being much too simplistic in my observation.

They may, or may not be, trading in accordance with their published research. Also, their present assessment of the market can be changed at any time should they think it is in their interest to do so.

If and when amat gets back to 25, the herd will realize that they were wrong and start recommending the stock again. Note, i said if and when. This is the way its always been, buy recommendations coming at higher numbers, even at the top and the reverse for sells. Mike
