Hi KLP, it's hard to gauge how the Italians feel about the prison images. The press has been running them constantly, most people read the paper and comments are heard such as "I can't believe this" etc... They have serious concerns about Italian soldiers being in harms way. I would have to say the majority of Italians would like America to fight this war without them. So, the President is acting courageous and going out on a limb politically to support America.
