Bush is starving the beast and costing us in the long run.

It's as if the Bush administration is so anti big government that they are taking the approach of killing the government by overspending. This route will cause us to default and bankrupt the country. This would make conservatives happy I guess...to kill the beast that they despise. But only a few benefit from this strategy, while the masses will be hurt deeply and the country's economy will be thrown a rat hole to achieve their ends.

Social Security is something that goes against the grain of the conservatives. They hate the idea of having to provide subsistence support to seniors after they have given the best of their years to the country. I mean SS is barely enough to survive on. It's a third world existence for millions of seniors. What will the Republican's propose? Opening up the basements of churches...to feed the hungry after SS and the rest of the government lay in shambles? They are for faith based initiatives...but against Social Security and dignity for our seniors.

Yep you can get your soup while we preach our religion to you. With the higher father in charge of the war in Iraq...why not put him charge of Social Security too?
