AS, why not, alcholism is an illness. I mean if you can nominate someone with an illness, why did the dems nominate Clinton? Besides being sterile Clinton was a sexual predator.

Allelulia sister Dis-spirit!!
...you're starting to sound like an evangelist.

It's an omen...Smarty Jones won his 8th major race. He's undefeated and has one final race(June 5) to capture the Triple Crown and become the most winning thoroughbred horse of all time. Smarty is considered the "little guy's horse" because his blood lines & physical attributes are not the usual stuff of champion racehorses. The parallel with GW Bush?--just a short time ago the horse was badly injured & his owners feared he would never race again. GW will barrel down the home stretch to Nov with same winning spirit demonstrated by Smarty Jones.

AS, slow down and think before you post. George Bush is a recovering alcoholic and has reportedly not had anything to drink for many years. One is always an alcoholic, not was one as you wrote. Your lack of getting facts right is disturbing...oh, I know, it is just a mistake.

Kerry enjoys drinking an occasional beer. Bush can't anymore since he was an alcoholic. Why did the GOP nominate an (ex) alcoholic?
