Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $33.0 billion, or 0.4 percent. The revised estimates will be released along with the "preliminary" GDP estimates instead of the "final" estimates. These revisions incorporate wage and salary tabulations of employees covered by state unemployment insurance from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The accelerated schedule reflects the more timely availability of the BLS tabulations. Wages and salaries Private wage and salary disbursements increased $10.4 billion in March, compared with an increase of $23.0 billion in February. Goods-producing industries' payrolls increased $3.9 billion, compared with an increase of $5.2 billion; manufacturing payrolls decreased $0.1 billion, in contrast to an increase of $3.6 billion. Services-producing industries' payrolls increased $6.5 billion, compared with an increase of $17.8 billion.
