The fact that these teachers didn't go to the trouble of getting notes from parents points out that people have very strong feelings about this war.

I think this story was blown waaay out of proportion. HS Internet has controls on it for obvious sex sites, but the teachers can't control every URL the kids go to.

Yeah, that's a supportable conclusion. Another is that they are so dogmatic and authoritarian and imperious that they have no respect for the children or their parents. We don't want to encourage the fascistic tendencies of our teachers, IMO.
