Israel gave back the Sinai to Egypt for a negotiated peace and they now do quite a bit of business tradewise (in fact they signed a pact last week bringing them even closer together economically) and tourism. ... But hey, if you can think of any instance of Arab nations/groups recompensing or returning any of mount of land to expelled Jewish folk anywhere I'd be interested to hear about, lol. "Why? Israel is fighting to survive and the Arab world wants them out and dead. It makes sense they should battle. But as Israel has made peace with Egypt and Jordan, so to it could with the PA if they want it.Recall, many settlements were dismantled in the Sinai and the settlers booted out. This time, Sharon had promised to evict the settlers and leave the settlements intact for the whoever wants to move in. But Hamas will destroy those place, because they don't want any of the population to live in comfort. By way of an example, a charitable swedish group had organized the building of a housing development for poor palestinians, but the place was promptly dynamited by Hamas. Any guesses why? Your looking at the middle east with tunnel vision. Ignorant terrorist good/dictatorship good, free educated society bad.
